Running KDE on AIX is possible, but there are some traps during the installation phase. This page will try to give you all information you need to install it without problems anyway.

There is some unsorted stuff in the download directory as well, the persistence engine, some flow system experiments, and old ksynth/aRts releases.

I am actively developing on aRts - a modular analog realtime synthesizer running under linux. It features KDE gui, midi synthesis,... You may still know it as KSynth - the project has been renamed between versions 0.2.5 and 0.2.6 ;)
