twcbackup - Backup software
twcbackup [OPTIONS]
twcbackup is a flexible, easy to configure backup program released as free software under the GNU GPL. Upon start it will read the configuration file /etc/twcbackup, which can be created/edited using the program twcbackupconf. The configuration file specifies which tasks are required for the backup run.
Usually, twcbackup is run from crontab, for instance every night at 3:00. The program must be started as root, as it otherwise doesn’t have sufficient permissions to perform a backup.
twcbackup
follows the usual GNU command line syntax, with long options
starting with two dashes (’-’).
--check
Check twcbackup configuration file, no backup is performed.
--version
Prints out twcbackup version.
-q, --quiet
By default twcbackup prints out the backup log after performing the backup. However this may be unnecessary, for instance if twcbackup is started from cron and the report is sent my mail. This option suppresses the backup log output.
-f, --file <configfile>
Use <configfile> as configuration file, instead of /etc/twcbackup.
